Smudged and stained through Lipstick Lusting 👄💄

You open the book, expecting a few shades of foundation. What you don't expect is the lies that lace the lips of a dangerous, hypnotic drug of a woman. A killer foundation is not just blended into your face; it is webbed into your life so strategically - you don't even know until it is too late.

Andiswa, known as Nani, a gorgeous young successful woman started her journey with makeup while she was young and in school. With the support of her grandmother, her mother and brother, she finished school, got certified and opened her store. All while building her clientele. It is no surprise that she worked so hard she was recognized and loved by affluent women and celebrities; it is not long before she meets one that holds a  heavy power over the city.

Meeting Simphiwe, Nani had no idea who she was and thought of her only as a beautiful, successful client until of course she got to know her. Their whirlwind affair had been scorching hot, ravaging through every part of them both and shattering the esteem of Simphiwe's husband when he found them in bed together and dismissed by his own wife in that instance. Mandla abhorred the very being of Nani. He knew she had parts of Simphiwe he could never have, experience or point to. Even with the failed attempt of ending Nani's life, he still came short.

Now, the offer to return to the very island that she almost died in is tempting. Simphiwe shows up in her salon and the tension between them is almost palpable. With a swift nudge, a soft kiss, Nani is already folding. Simphiwe and Mandla are having a vow renewal. Nani is meant to come there as a makeup artist for her. Why didn't I question this? Because if your husband tried to kill me the last time at this place, why would I consider coming back knowing I cannot resist you and you me? But Nani, oh Nani, is as adventurous if not delusional as me because she obviously goes there. It didn't take that much convincing either and you know what, I was here for it.... because I didn't know the terror that is Simphiwe and her twisted world.

Hear my shock when she pulls out a tiny bag coke but hold that thought because I need us to rewind to the journey coming to the island as primer. Nani is on a flight beside this man, they experience a rough landing and drama carries their intro to each other. Nani takes a liking to him and him to her. They go their separate ways. Now back to that thought, this man, is somewhat related to the family. Simphiwe's sister in law introduces them. Simphiwe freaks out, cues in the bag of coke in their private argument. Now that the foundation is on, it was at this moment, I decided I do not like Simphiwe because from that moment she gets worse. I'm getting heated all over again and you need to see it for yourself.

Lipstick Lusting will bribe you into a full coma of reading from start to finish. The thrill of not knowing which shade of red lipstick suits you best or which shortcut would successfully lead you to a bloodbath dead end.
