Would you want - A Love Like This - ?

So Nande falls pregnant at 16 for the charming handsome guy who lives a little better off. Lefa quickly falls in love with the idea of being a father, he’s only 18. He’s willing to make it work. He enrolls in university and works part time to provide for his girlfriend and their child. Nande stays back a whole year to give birth to and take care of their child. Lefa makes good on his promise though. He takes care of them. He marries her. He buys her a house and they should live happily ever after, right?

If you guess no, you would be right. Lefa rakes in a ridiculous amount of wealth just as he starts his career. He’s managed to hook billionaire heir, Thapelo Makhele, to be his company lawyer. Known not to have many friends, Thapelo takes to Lefa... and his beautiful quiet wife. His restrain is patient but his desire isn’t. He decides perhaps, a clone would suffice. That he does. With the amount of money, access and resources; he manages to find duplicates to serve as his... Nande. The original. The perfect girl.

Lefa becomes increasingly comfortable with infidelity, breaking his wife’s heart for years but the straw that broke the camel’s back was impregnating another woman. She had had her second miscarriage and that is how 13 years of marriage went down the drain. She finally left.

This is Thapelo’s chance to make his move. He has wanted this woman for over a decade, duplicated her 5 times, and just as Lefa turns a new leaf hoping to try again; Thapelo’s restraint snaps. He cannot let it happen. She is his. His perfect girl. Through sunsets and thunderstorms.

A Love Like This will be available for PDF purchase soon. Each copy is R80.

  3. My favorite thing about this story is that, as much as Thapelo is basically obsessed with Nande in a very unhealthy way, he still isn't abusive or manipulative or all those ugly things... it's still a red flag how obsessed he is though 😂
